Welcome to Acorn
After a prolonged absence in the 21st Century it is my pleasure on behalf of the Acorn team to announce the Acorn Brand is back and developing new and exciting electronic & software technologies in Cambridge, UK.
Acorn’s Re-launch begins with an ambitious program of projects called ‘Phoebe’ that traverses the education, amateur, industrial & home electronic sectors and much more. Central to the Phoebe Program & the re-launch is adoption of the concepts & ideals of the Acorn Brand of innovation, low-power processing, efficient programming, education for all ages & community.
An Acorn community has existed since the early days of the Acorn brand and is still a thriving environment in the 21st Century. The Acorn team would like to play its part in unifying the Global Acorn Community and has provided a forum & cordially invites members of the community of Acorn enthusiasts, alumni, historians, students, lecturers, industrialists & entrepreneurs to join us in the Acorn Forum, accessible via the ‘Forum’ menu tab.
Additionally for the Acorn Computer enthusiasts our Acorn Historians are building a free virtual Acorn Brand archive at www.vintageacorn.com (& accessible from the ‘History’ Tab in the menu). If you have resources for the archive, advice for our historians or have an interest in the early computer era then please join the team and their project.
